There are many different entryways to systems theory. One of the major catalysts for systems theory were in biology and ecology, which were generalized into general systems theory and from that we got various theoretical applications based on a common “systems approach.” One of these was theoretical framework for living systems and ecology. Fritjof Capra is a major contributor to this leg of systems. Here he talks about systemic thinking and its value proposition of sustainability as learned from living systems.
